I am the Program Manager for the Visage Training Centre for Health and Lifestyle at Challenger TAFE which includes Hairdressing, Beauty, Fashion, Massage, Sport and Recreation and Nursing. The Visage section is a dynamic entity at Challenger with extremely innovative and commited staff who work very closely with Industry to deliver best practice training with cutting edge technologies.
The project is to produce Assessment tools in PDA's for the School Apprentice Link Pilot (SALP) for Hairdressing, Beauty and Retail. The SALP is a taster for year 11 students in Hairdressing,Beauty and Retail and a new program commenced in 2007.
I want to learn about the develpment of the Assessment tools in PDA's and the application of them into the workplace as I see this as the way forward in assessing students in Industry.
From today's session I felt:
I understood more about the application and use of a PDA
I was invigorated to use more applications on the PDA
the team worked together as a team to brainstorm
the team were all at the same level and ready to move forward into the program
